April 25, 2009 Family Fishing Fun Day (10AM to 2PM) - Bring Mom and a picnic lunch out to the pond on Mother’s Day for a fun day of fishing in East Harbor’s stocked pond. Bait provided. This activity is for the kids to fish. Adults are permitted to fish after the kid’s program. Call 419-734-4424 x 2 for details.
May 23 , 2009 Join us in front of the Nature Center for a dance to kickoff the camping season. 7pm-10pm.
June 6, 2009 5K Run/Walk in the park. This event is sponsored by the Friends of East Harbor State Park in conjunction with the Firelands Area Runners. For more information, contact Jody Geyer at 419-656-7144.
July 4, 2009 Summer Dance- Join us for a summer dance party on Saturday night as we celebrate this holiday from 7pm-10pm at the beach. You can then view fireworks put on by local communities from our beach.
July 10-12, 2009 Civil War Encampment - The Civil War comes back to life during this weekend! Wander through the sutlers' shops as they ply their wares, talk with General Grant and other notaries, and wander through the various encampments. Everyone will find something to appreciate. Did we mention a battle or two between Confederate and Federal Troops?
July 24 & 25, 2009 Christmas in July- Get into the holiday spirit by taking part in a campsite decorating contest, bring your kids to the amphitheater for visits from Santa and the Grinch, and join us for a dance on Saturday night!
August 15, 2009 Conservation Day- Celebrate Lake Erie, Ohio's greatest natural resource, with fun and educational "hands on" activities. Who knows, you might learn something about the environment at the same time!
September 4 & 5, 2009 Labor Day Weekend Activities - Don't look now, but FALL is just around the corner! Feel free to take part in the various fall activities and join us for a dance on Saturday night.
September 20, 2009 North Coast Walk to Cure Diabetes- Join us for this worthy cause. Participate in a walk at the park that will benefit those dealing with Diabetes. Call Mary Brown, the Walk Chair at 419-732-2451
October 2 & 3, 2009 10th Annual Halloween Campout (WEEKEND #1)- Fun for all! Have a ghoulish time with a bonfire, dance, scarecrow building contest, campsite decorating contest, a cookout, a seriously spooky haunted house, kid's crafts and games, hayrides and more!
